Hertman went on to lose 7-2 against Timothy Verreycken (Zemst, BEL). Hertman responded with a 8-2 win over P.N. Raju (Hyderabad, IN) in their final qualifying round match.

Hertman earned 1.063 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the WCT Belgium Men's Challenge, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 268th place overall with 4.532 total points.
