Smith went on to lose 7-2 against Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN). Smith lost 7-6 to Lotta Immonen (Espoo, FIN). Smith lost 8-3 to Silvia Sykorova (Bratislava, SVK) where Smith responded with a 10-6 win over Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG). Smith won 6-5 against Immonen in their final qualifying round match.
 
Smith earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2023.
