Roberts Buncis (Riga, LAT) finished 4-2 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Buncis defeated William Becker (Naseby, NZL) 6-5, then won 8-5 against Ching Nam Cheng (Hong Kong, HKG). Buncis went on to lose 8-5 against Wesley Wendling (Wausau, USA). Buncis responded with a 9-1 win over Benjamin Holcombe (Kent, ENG). Buncis went on to lose 9-2 against Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN). Buncis responded with a 5-4 win over Vitor De Melo (Sao Paulo, BRA) in their final qualifying round match.

Buncis earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 22 of the event schedule, Buncis did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Buncis ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
