Antoni Frynia (Lodz, POL) finished 1-5 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Frynia lost 10-2 to Ryo Aoki (Sapporo, JPN), droppimg another game, 5-4 to Aidos Alliyar (Almaty, KAZ) where Frynia responded with a 6-4 win over Matthaus Hofer (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Frynia went on to lose 6-5 against Selahattin Eser (Erzurum, TUR). Frynia lost 7-2 to Johnson Tao (Edmonton, CAN). Frynia lost 8-3 to Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) in their final qualifying round match.

Frynia earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 22 of the event schedule, Frynia did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Frynia ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
