Mariani finished 5-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mariani defeated Lisenka Bomas (Amsterdam, NED) 7-4, then won 14-0 against Ambra Paslaru (Bucharest, ROU) and 10-3 against Daniela Garcia Revuelto (San Sebastien, ESP). Mariani went on to lose 7-3 against Myla Plett (Sherwood Park, CAN). Mariani responded with a 8-3 win over Sofie Krupickova (Prague, CZE).
