Michael Fournier (Toronto, ON) finished 3-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fournier defeated Christopher Inglis (Dundas, ON) 9-6, then won 7-4 against Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON). Fournier went on to lose 10-3 against Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON). Fournier lost 9-2 to Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) where Fournier responded with a 7-4 win over Inglis. Fournier went on to lose 11-5 against Ferris in their final qualifying round match.

Fournier earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 45th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Fournier ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 70.000 points earned so far this season.
