Mouat finished 10-2 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR) 10-3, then won 10-3 against Shuster. Mouat went on to lose 8-4 against Gushue. Mouat responded with a 8-3 win over Retornaz. Mouat won 8-2 against Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL). Mouat went on to lose 8-7 against Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Mouat responded with a 6-3 win over Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Mouat won 7-5 against Shinya Abe (Karuizawa, JPN), then won 5-3 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) and 8-7 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Mouat won 9-8 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR), then won 8-6 against Niklas Edin (Ornskoldsvik, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their fourth place finish at the LGT World Men's Curling Championship, Mouat take home 44.000 world rankings points, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 14.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Mouat ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 381.500 points earned so far this season.
