Kaito Fujii (Miyota, JPN) lost 8-2 to Kounosuke Takahashi (Nagano, JPN) in the Final of the Chubu Curling Championships, held December 14 - 17, 2023 in Chubu, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Fujii won 10-4 over Tamotsu Matsumura (Chubu, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Chubu Curling Championships in Chubu, Japan;

Fujii finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujii defeated Daisuke Kobayashi (Chubu, JPN) 11-5, then won 12-1 against Hirotaka Ishikuro (Chubu, JPN) and 9-5 against Kouhei Sawai (Chubu, JPN). Fujii won 7-1 against Kiyotaka Kurbayashi (Chubu, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Chubu Curling Championships, Fujii take home 2.750 world rankings points, moving up 47 spots the World Ranking Standings into 218th place overall with 7.137 total points. Fujii ranks 177th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.500 points earned so far this season.
