After advancing directly to the championship game, Yumiko Kashiwagi (Chubu, JPN) lost 7-5 to Aoi Watanabe (Chubu, JPN) in the Final of the Chubu Curling Championships, held December 14 - 17, 2023 in Chubu, Japan.

Kashiwagi finished 5-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kashiwagi defeated Akemi Kawahara (Chubu, JPN) 8-1, then won 6-3 against Watanabe and 6-2 against Fuyuka Furuta (Chubu, JPN). Kashiwagi won 7-6 against Yuka Takimoto (Chubu, JPN), then won 10-3 against Mayumi Mori (Chubu, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Chubu Curling Championships, Kashiwagi take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 21 of the event schedule, Kashiwagi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kashiwagi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
