Aoi Watanabe (Chubu, JPN) won 7-5 over Yumiko Kashiwagi (Chubu, JPN) in the Final of the Chubu Curling Championships, held December 14 - 17, 2023 in Chubu, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Watanabe won 4-2 over Yuka Takimoto (Chubu, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Chubu Curling Championships in Chubu, Japan;
 
Watanabe finished 3-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watanabe lost 9-7 to Takimoto, droppimg another game, 6-3 to Kashiwagi where Watanabe responded with a 8-7 win over Mayumi Mori (Chubu, JPN). Watanabe won 8-2 against Fuyuka Furuta (Chubu, JPN), then won 8-4 against Akemi Kawahara (Chubu, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Chubu Curling Championships Championship title, Watanabe earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 21 of the event schedule, Watanabe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Watanabe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
