Wayne Ewasko (Beausejour, MB) finished 2-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ewasko defeated Derrick Anderson (Gimli, MB) 7-3, then went on to lose 7-2 against Justin Reynolds (Winnipeg Beach, MB). Ewasko responded with a 6-5 win over Rob Atkins (East St. Paul, MB). Ewasko went on to lose 9-6 against Justin Richter (Beausejour, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Ewasko earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 20 of the event schedule, Ewasko did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
