Riho Zaikan (Okayama, JPN) won 11-2 over Ayahi Shinba (Okayama, JPN) in the Final of the Nishi-Nihon Curling Championship, held December 2 - 4, 2023 in Okayama, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Zaikan won 9-5 over Minako Tsuji (Okayama, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Nishi-Nihon Curling Championship in Okayama, Japan;

Zaikan finished 1-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zaikan lost 5-4 to Shinba, then responded with a 7-1 win over Momoko Yuzuki (Okayama, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Nishi-Nihon Curling Championship Championship title, Zaikan earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 19 of the event schedule, Zaikan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Zaikan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
