Nakamura finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nakamura defeated Mizuho Kumagai (Tohoku, JPN) 8-2, then won 9-4 against Yuri Sakai (Tohoku, JPN) and 4-3 against Juri Kojima (Tohoku, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
