Rin Suzuki (Aomori, JPN) finished 1-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Suzuki lost 8-4 to Moe Sakura (Tohoku, JPN), then responded with a 14-3 win over Tomomi Noguchi (Tohoku, JPN). Suzuki went on to lose 12-1 against Kotoka Segawa (Morioka, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Suzuki earned 0.188 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 20 of the event schedule, Suzuki did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Suzuki ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
