Taia Nakahara (Kitami, JPN) run at the 2024 Hokkaido Curling Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Shunta Kobayashi (Sapporo, JPN). of the 2024 Hokkaido Curling Championships in Sapporo, Japan;

Nakahara finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nakahara defeated Hiroyuki Honda (Kitami, JPN) 7-1, then won 9-2 against Yutaro Kasai (Sapporo, JPN) and 8-6 against Yuya Takigahira (Hokkaido, JPN). Nakahara won 22-1 against Keita Takano (Hokkaido, JPN). Nakahara went on to lose 9-1 against Takumi Maeda (Kitami, JPN). Nakahara responded with a 6-2 win over Fukuhiro Ohno (Hokkaido, JPN). Nakahara won 9-5 against Kobayashi in their final qualifying round match.

Nakahara earned 2.125 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Hokkaido Curling Championships, moving up 85 spots the World Ranking Standings into 278th place overall with 3.906 total points. Nakahara ranks 232nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.625 points earned so far this season.
