Kasai won 10-1 against Keita Takano (Hokkaido, JPN), then won 6-4 against Yuya Takigahira (Hokkaido, JPN) and 5-3 against Hiroyuki Honda (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kasai earned 1.500 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Hokkaido Curling Championships, moving up 73 spots the World Ranking Standings into 306th place overall with 3.035 total points.
