Kyle Waddell (Hamilton, SCO) lost 5-2 to Cameron Bryce (Border, SCO) in the Final of the St. Galler Elite Challenge, held January 18 - 21, 2024 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Waddell won 8-7 over Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2024 St. Galler Elite Challenge in St. Gallen, Switzerland; and won 7-3 over Giacomo Colli (Cortina d’Ampezzo, ITA) in the quarterfinals.
 
Waddell finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Waddell defeated Colli 6-3, then won 11-0 against Konrad Stych (Warsaw, POL) and 4-2 against Stocker. Waddell won 5-4 against Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the St. Galler Elite Challenge, Waddell take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize. Waddell move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 1.5 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 21st overall with 146.812 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Waddell ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 127.250 points earned so far this season.
