Arran Thomson (Perth, SCO) finished 2-6 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomson lost 7-2 to Orrin Carson (Stirling, SCO), droppimg another game, 8-2 to Kyle Waddell (Hamilton, SCO). Thomson lost 10-5 to Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO). Thomson lost 6-4 to James Craik (Forfar, SCO). Thomson lost 6-2 to Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) where Thomson responded with a 8-7 win over Fraser Swanston (Forfar, SCO). Thomson went on to lose 7-6 against Ross Craik (Stirling, SCO). Thomson responded with a 7-3 win over Gavin Cameron (Moray, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Thomson earned 4.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 187 spots the World Ranking Standings into 228th place overall with 4.875 total points. Thomson ranks 227th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.875 points earned so far this season.
