Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) 7-5, then won 8-3 against Jane DiCarlo (Crapaud, PEI) and 8-6 against Kerri Einarson (Gimli, CAN). Sturmay won 8-4 against Skylar Ackerman (Saskatoon, SK), then won 8-3 against Laurie St-Georges (Montreal, QC) and 10-9 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT). Sturmay went on to lose 8-7 against Stacie Curtis (St.John's, NL). Sturmay responded with a 8-5 win over Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
