Purcell finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Purcell defeated Glen MacLeod (Halifax, NS) 10-5, then won 6-5 against Flemming. Purcell went on to lose 7-5 against Manuel. Purcell responded with a 7-5 win over Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Occean Contractors Nova Scotia Tankard, Purcell take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 26 of the event schedule, Purcell did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 34th to 35th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 110.110 total points.
