Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) finished 3-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wipf defeated Sam Nygaard (Lethbridge, AB) 14-2, then won 7-5 against Osten Sahulka (Brandon, MB). Wipf went on to lose 12-5 against Josh Bryden (Regina, SK). Wipf responded with a 10-3 win over Reid Zingel (Victoria, BC). Wipf went on to lose 9-4 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Wipf earned 0.563 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, Wipf did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wipf ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
