After advancing directly to the championship game, Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN) lost 5-4 to Miyu Ueno (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship, held January 27 - February 4, 2024 in Tokoro, Japan.
 
Tabata finished 6-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tabata defeated Yui Ozeki (Tokyo, JPN) 6-4, then won 11-2 against Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) and 9-3 against Kotoka Segawa (Morioka, JPN). Tabata went on to lose 6-5 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Tabata responded with a 7-6 win over Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN). Tabata won 7-5 against Yuna Kotani (Sapporo, JPN), then won 6-4 against Ueno in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship, Tabata take home 30.250 world rankings points. Tabata move up 12 spots after posting a net gain of 21.981 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 93.000 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
