Urban Noring (Goteborg, SWE) finished 1-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Noring lost 13-2 to Sweden's Fredrik Nyman, droppimg another game, 6-5 to Claes Eriksson (Uppsala, SWE) where Noring responded with a 6-0 win over Johnny Eriksson (Silverstenen, SWE). Noring went on to lose 11-5 against Johan Bergman (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Noring earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Noring did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Noring ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
