Italy's Stefano Gilli lost 7-6 to Lukas Hostmaelingen (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held February 17 - 24, 2024 in Lohja, Finland. To advance to the championship game, Italy's Stefano Gilli won 7-5 over Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN) in the semifinals

Italy's Stefano Gilli finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Italy's Stefano Gilli defeated Wesley Wendling (Wausau, USA) 10-6, then won 10-6 against Orrin Carson (Stirling, SCO). Italy's Stefano Gilli went on to lose 5-4 against Hostmaelingen. Italy's Stefano Gilli responded with a 8-3 win over Sam Flanagan (Naseby, NZL). Italy's Stefano Gilli won 8-3 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, CAN), then won 8-7 against Schmidt. Italy's Stefano Gilli went on to lose 9-2 against Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER). Italy's Stefano Gilli responded with a 6-5 win over Manuel Jermann (Arlesheim, SUI). Italy's Stefano Gilli won 9-1 against Liqiunan Tao (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the World Junior Curling Championships, Italy's Stefano Gilli take home 16.500 world rankings points. For week 31 of the event schedule, Italy's Stefano Gilli did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Italy's Stefano Gilli ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
