Wendling won 10-6 against Orrin Carson (Stirling, SCO). Wendling went on to lose 11-3 against Schmidt. Wendling lost 6-4 to Liqiunan Tao (Beijing, CHN) where Wendling responded with a 7-3 win over Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER). Wendling won 10-9 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, CAN), then won 10-3 against Sam Flanagan (Naseby, NZL) and 11-8 against Manuel Jermann (Arlesheim, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their fourth place finish at the World Junior Curling Championships, Wendling take home 12.000 world rankings points, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 61st place overall with 50.375 total points. Wendling ranks 61st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 50.375 points earned so far this season.
