Carruthers went on to lose 6-4 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Carruthers lost 7-2 to Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) where Carruthers responded with a 9-2 win over Robert. Carruthers won 8-4 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 7-4 against Klima to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Carruthers earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Henderson Metal Fall Classic presented by Kioti Tractors of Ontario.
