Morozumi responded with a 7-4 win over Alex Champ (Toronto, ON) to advance to a C-Qualifier game where they lost 7-6 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Morozumi earned 10.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 12 of the event schedule, Morozumi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Morozumi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
