Zappone finished 3-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zappone lost 5-2 to Rebecca Mariani (Trentino, ITA), then responded with a 6-3 win over Giorgia Maurino (Trentino, ITA). Zappone went on to lose 4-2 against Constantini. Zappone responded with a 6-3 win over Giada Mosaner (Trentino, ITA). Zappone won 10-7 against Denise Pimpini (Piemonte, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.

Zappone earned 6.375 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Italian National Curling Championship.
