In their opening game, Varjola lost 9-5 to Janina Lindstroem (Aland, FIN), then responded with a 9-7 win over Miia Ahrenberg (Turku-Hyvinkaa, FIN). Varjola went on to lose 10-7 against Lindstroem. Varjola lost 7-6 to Ahrenberg in their final qualifying round match.
