Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) qualified for the 2024 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK).

Purcell finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Purcell lost 6-5 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR), then responded with a 6-5 win over Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR). Purcell went on to lose 5-2 against Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Purcell responded with a 7-5 win over Yves Stocker (Oberwallis, SUI). Purcell won 5-4 against Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Purcell earned 16.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2. For week 10 of the event schedule, Purcell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Purcell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
