Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) won 5-4 over Brad Jacobs (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the WFG Masters, held January 14 - 19, 2025 in Guelph, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Whyte won 7-5 over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2025 WFG Masters in Guelph, Ontario; and won 5-2 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad , SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2025 WFG Masters in Guelph, Ontario;
 
Whyte finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte lost 5-3 to Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER), then responded with a 8-7 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR). Whyte won 9-4 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL), then won 6-5 against Joel Retornaz (Cembra, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the WFG Masters Championship title, Whyte earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $38,000CDN first prize cheque. Whyte move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 54 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 5th overall with 342.063 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Whyte ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 261.250 points earned so far this season.
