Marchese lost 8-5 to Marcus Holm (Stockholm, SWE) where Marchese responded with a 6-5 win over Dana Selnekovicova (Prague, CZE). Marchese won 6-3 against Jostein Stordahl (Oslo, NOR). Marchese went on to lose 8-3 against Radoslav Duris (Bratislava, SVK). Marchese lost 12-2 to Haitao Wang (Beijing, CHN). Marchese lost 6-4 to Korea's Huitae Yang where Marchese responded with a 10-3 win over Ain Villau (Tallinn, EST). Marchese went on to lose 8-3 against Agris Lasmans (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
