Shiella Cowan (Maple Ridge, BC) lost 6-4 to Kristen Ryan (Maple Ridge, BC) in the Final of the King Cash Spiel, held October 17 - 20, 2024 at the Golden Ears Curling Club in Maple Ridge, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Cowan won 8-6 over Suhyeon Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the semifinals

Cowan finished 4-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cowan defeated Ryan 7-4, then won 7-3 against Erin Fitzgibbon (Victoria, BC) and 11-9 against Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC). Cowan won 6-5 against Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the King Cash Spiel, Cowan take home 5.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize. For week 12 of the event schedule, Cowan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cowan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
