Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) lost 8-5 to Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Charlevoix Challenge de Curling Desjardins, held November 21 - 24, 2024 in Clermont, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Smith won 5-4 over Julien Tremblay (Quebec, QC) in the semifinals of the 2024 Charlevoix Challenge de Curling Desjardins in Clermont, Quebec; and won 5-2 over Michael Fournier (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals.

Smith finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Pierre-Luc Morissette (Quebec city, QC) 7-5, then won 7-1 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) and 9-5 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Charlevoix Challenge de Curling Desjardins, Smith take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN prize. For week 17 of the event schedule, Smith did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Smith ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
