Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) won 7-6 over Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS) in the Final of the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships , held March 24 - 31, 2024 in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Wipf finished 7-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wipf defeated MacIsaac 7-6, then won 9-8 against Kibo Mulima (Guelph, ON) and 7-6 against Ian Deschene (Sudbury, NO). Wipf won 8-4 against Jack MacFayden (Summerside, PEI). Wipf went on to lose 8-3 against Freeman. Wipf responded with a 10-3 win over Alex Duncan-Wu (Salmon Arm, BC). Wipf won 9-5 against Timothy Marin (Sherwood Park, AB), then won 9-2 against Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO) in their final qualifying round match.
Wipf earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 155th place overall with 11.563 total points. Wipf ranks 155th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.563 points earned so far this season.
