Timothy Marin (Sherwood Park, AB) finished 4-4 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin lost 9-7 to Kibo Mulima (Guelph, ON), then responded with a 8-2 win over Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO). Marin won 6-5 against Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS). Marin went on to lose 10-4 against Jace Freeman (Virden, MB). Marin responded with a 11-3 win over Jack MacFayden (Summerside, PEI). Marin went on to lose 10-9 against Alex Duncan-Wu (Salmon Arm, BC). Marin lost 9-5 to Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) where Marin responded with a 8-7 win over Ian Deschene (Sudbury, NO) in their final qualifying round match.

Marin earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 36 of the event schedule, Marin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Marin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
