Peter Hlushak (Spruce Grove, AB) finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hlushak lost 6-4 to Takumi Maeda (Tokoro, JPN), droppimg another game, 8-0 to Evan Van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) where Hlushak responded with a 9-8 win over Andrew Dunbar (Edmonton, AB). Hlushak won 12-8 against James Ballance (Okotoks/Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Hlushak earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Hlushak did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hlushak ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
