In their opening game, Pierce lost 6-4 to Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB), droppimg another game, 9-6 to Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB). Pierce lost 7-1 to Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) where Pierce responded with a 7-4 win over Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB). Pierce won 6-3 against Steve Laycock (Swift Current, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Pierce earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 6 of the event schedule, Pierce did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pierce ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
