Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) won 9-4 over Gracelyn Richards (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the U25 NextGen Classic, held August 27 - 30, 2024 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Reese-Hansen won 6-5 over Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals

Reese-Hansen finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Reese-Hansen defeated Jenna Pomedli (Wadena, SK) 9-1, then won 8-2 against Richards and 5-3 against Katie Ford (Niagara Falls, ON). Reese-Hansen won 9-0 against Emilie Lovitt (Sudbury, ON), then won 8-5 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Sudbury, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the U25 NextGen Classic Championship title, Reese-Hansen earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 5 of the event schedule, Reese-Hansen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Reese-Hansen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
