Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) won 5-1 over Jayden King (London, ON) in the Final of the U25 NextGen Classic, held August 27 - 30, 2024 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McDonald won 6-3 over Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2024 U25 NextGen Classic in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
McDonald finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McDonald defeated Nathan Young (St.John's, NL) 7-3, then won 5-4 against Kibo Mulima (Kingston, ON) and 5-3 against Bradley Moser (Saskatoon, SK). McDonald won 7-3 against Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB). McDonald went on to lose 5-3 against King in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the U25 NextGen Classic Championship title, McDonald earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 5 of the event schedule, McDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
