Sam Mooibroek (Waterloo, ON) run at the 2024 U25 NextGen Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 11-4 loss to Jayden King (London, ON).

Mooibroek finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) 6-3, then won 6-5 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) and 7-1 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Mooibroek won 8-2 against Connor Deane (New Westminster, BC). Mooibroek went on to lose 4-3 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Mooibroek earned 10.625 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the U25 NextGen Classic. For week 5 of the event schedule, Mooibroek did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mooibroek ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
