Nathan Young (St.John's, NL) finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Young lost 7-3 to Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 9-5 win over Bradley Moser (Saskatoon, SK). Young won 7-3 against Kibo Mulima (Kingston, ON), then won 8-4 against Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB). Young went on to lose 7-3 against Jayden King (London, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Young earned 2.813 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 5 of the event schedule, Young did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Young ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
