In their opening game, Cinnamon/Tao defeated Meaghan Mallett/Brendan Jackson (Guelph, ON) 8-0, then went on to lose 7-0 against Kaylee Raniseth/Evan Crough (Delburne, AB). Cinnamon/Tao responded with a 7-5 win over Sarah Bailey/Dylan Sipura (St.Catherines, ON). Cinnamon/Tao won 8-1 against Amber Gargul/Leandre Girard (Montreal, QC), then won 8-0 against Hayley Gushue/Spencer Tipple (St.John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
