Catherine Clifford/Desmond Young (Edmonton, AB) finished 2-3 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Clifford/Young lost 5-4 to Olivia Wynter/Cameron Sallaj (Moncton, NB), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Lindsey Burgess/Ben Morin (Vernon, BC) where Clifford/Young responded with a 9-4 win over Jenna Campbell/James Carr (Fredericton, NB). Clifford/Young won 7-6 against Amanda Skiffington/Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS). Clifford/Young went on to lose 8-6 against Julianna Mackenzie/Sterling Middleton (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Clifford/Young earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 5 of the event schedule, Clifford/Young did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Clifford/Young ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
