Wynter/Sallaj Reaches 2024 Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles Semifinals

Olivia Wynter/Cameron Sallaj (Moncton, NB) run at the 2024 Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Jessica Zheng/Victor Pietrangelo (Niagara Falls, ON). of the 2024 Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Wynter/Sallaj advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-6 win over Julianna Mackenzie/Sterling Middleton (Victoria, BC).

Wynter/Sallaj finished 3-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wynter/Sallaj defeated Catherine Clifford/Desmond Young (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then went on to lose 9-7 against Mackenzie/Middleton. Wynter/Sallaj responded with a 7-6 win over Lindsey Burgess/Ben Morin (Vernon, BC). Wynter/Sallaj won 5-3 against Jenna Campbell/James Carr (Fredericton, NB). Wynter/Sallaj went on to lose 10-7 against Olivia Jones/Dustin Mikush (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Wynter/Sallaj earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles. For week 5 of the event schedule, Wynter/Sallaj did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wynter/Sallaj ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
