To advance to the championship game, Skrlik won 7-3 over Emily Cherwinski (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2024 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Skrlik finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skrlik defeated Sherry Just (Saskatoon, SK) 9-2, then went on to lose 6-3 against Emily Bowles (Victoria, BC). Skrlik responded with a 10-4 win over Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC). Skrlik won 6-5 against Rachel Kaatz (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-0 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the SGI Canada Best of the West, Skrlik take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize. Skrlik move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 9.625 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 25th overall with 125.313 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
