Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2024 SGI Canada Best of the West playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Jared Kolomaya (Richmond, BC). of the 2024 SGI Canada Best of the West in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Walter finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) 7-5, then went on to lose 6-1 against Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB). Walter responded with a 7-6 win over Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK). Walter won 7-4 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB). Walter went on to lose 7-4 against Kolomaya in their final qualifying round match.

Walter earned 7.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the SGI Canada Best of the West.
