Marlee Powers/Luke Saunders (Halifax, NS) won 5-4 over Amanda Skiffington/Calan MacIsaac (Lower Sackville, SK) in the Final of the John Ross & Sons Mixed Doubles Spiel, held October 18 - 20, 2024 at the Halifax Curling Club in Halifax, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Powers/Saunders won 8-2 over Tyler Parmiter/Ronnie Burgess (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2024 John Ross & Sons Mixed Doubles Spiel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; and won 8-5 over Taylour Stevens/Graeme Weagle (Halufax, NS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Powers/Saunders finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Powers/Saunders defeated Skiffington/MacIsaac 8-5, then won 9-3 against Jenna Campbell/James Carr (Fredericton, NB) and 9-0 against Leah Johnston/Andrew Johnston (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Powers/Saunders ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
