Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) finished 2-7 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens lost 8-6 to Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 7-5 win over Rob Retchless (Preston , ENG). Gosgens went on to lose 9-5 against Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Gosgens lost 10-7 to Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Gosgens lost 11-6 to Joel Retornaz (Cembra, ITA) where Gosgens responded with a 9-7 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR). Gosgens went on to lose 8-6 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Gosgens lost 9-6 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad , SWE). Gosgens lost 8-6 to Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) in their final qualifying round match.

Gosgens earned 7.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Gosgens did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gosgens ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
