Nickel/Nickel won 10-7 against Robyn Henry/Rob Gordon (Winnipeg, MB). Nickel/Nickel went on to lose 9-2 against Randine Baker/Tanner Lott (Selkirk, MB). Nickel/Nickel lost 7-4 to Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Nickel/Nickel earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 15 of the event schedule, Nickel/Nickel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nickel/Nickel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
